APPLICATION EFFICIENCY OF AUTOMATED CONTROL SYSTEM OF MEDICAL CENTRE

Nowadays Information and Communication system is widely used in all spheres of life. It provides the possibility of automating all the tasks in any economic or industrial section. In this connection, an automated system for the management and control of all medical institutions was created and it is directed to the computerization of management and control of any activity. This system provides a fast access to all specialties of medical institutions, provision of effective information support for the control of the medical aid system and the process of giving medical assistance. Furthermore, the system ensures quality enhancement of the medical aid assistance on the basis of information-technology improvement of the operation of medical organizations and their staff.

Automated system “Medical centre” performs the following functions:

automation of the control system activity (Activity of the Ministry of Public Health);

automation of the activity of the medical institution governing body (director’s activity);

automation of the head doctor’s activity;

automation of the activity of the doctors in the department;

automation of the activity of the pharmacy in the medical institutions;

automation of the activity in the laboratories;

automation of the diagnostics activity (equipment conclusions entry);

automation of the head nurse’s activity;

automation of the nurse’s activity;

automation of the medical history conducting;

automation of the control of the medication list used for the treatment;

automation of the bookkeeping;

Besides, the system forms structured hierarchical database. It is precisely what makes the actuality of this project.

Above-mentioned functions do not only automate the activity of some small medical institution, but they also give opportunity of electronic control and supervision of big institutions. Nowadays it is exactly what provides documents circulation and remote monitoring of all establishments.

Here we should give particular consideration to the automation of the pharmacy’s activity as the system not only automates the activity of the pharmacy, but also forms the integration of the pharmacy service with the medical institution. That saves time and provides the speed of giving aid. Formation and realization of the given system reduces the mistakes in the diagnostics, prophylaxis, treatment and rehabilitation owing to handy visualization of the data, and automates the data consistency control and possibility of their constant monitoring.

In addition to that, on the termination of any form of medical examination and treatment of the patients, all accounting reports are immediately conducted in the electronic form. This provides transfer to the electronic form of the work with a maximum exclusion of input duplication of the same information. As a result of the implementation of this system, we can have time-saving, fast organization of the treatment process, formation of common database, establishment of the system of fast search, preparation of fast reports, observation of the dynamics of statistical data, provision of the system activity accuracy, increase of the precision and effectiveness of the system work, creation of the system users’ opportunity to work distantly.

The system encloses opportunities on scaling via consecutive connection of the additional modules like module of the pharmacy, administrator, head doctor, nurses, laboratories and accounting for the realization provision of all the scope of the measures necessary for the complex automation of the medical institution.

This system serves for everyday regular work. The users work in on-line mode in a real time scale with a database of the system that functions in the server of a database. The server of the database must work non-stop, around- the-clock except the time of the preventive maintenance.

The following results are achieved by modernization and realization of the system:

rise of immediacy and credibility of the information for administrative decisions;

streamlining of the business processes in the paid medical service;

release of the staff from routine paperwork;

provision of the single information input and the release of the staff from the duplication in the existing systems;

provision of the completeness and transparency of the data about treatment- and-diagnostics process;

convenience provision of the examination and filling of the information about the treatment;

reduction of the mistakes in the treatment process at the expense of the convenient visualization of the data about the treatment of the patients, automated control of the data consistency with an opportunity of their constant monitoring;

a cut in expenditure at the expense of the application of paperless technology and streamlining of the medical-biological and medical-sanitary provision in the medical institution.

All the aims and objectives are achieved at the stage of designing, realization and modernization of the automated control system “Medical center”.
